执信中学由孙中山先生于1921年创办。旨在纪念孙中山的亲密助手、民主革命家朱执信。学校坐落在广州市中心城区，占地近7万平方米。校园建筑为红墙绿瓦琉璃飞檐的中国古典民族建筑风格。

　　1921—1943年学校为私立性质，由著名教育家、政府要员以及社会知名人士组成校董会管理学校，著名留法博士曾醒（女）为首任校长。1943年始改为公立性质，隶属广东省政府和广州市政府教育部门。在1928—1968年曾经是女子学校，1968年恢复为男女同校。学校现为全高中办学模式。有高一至高三共48个教学班，学生2400多人，教职员工200人。

　　执信中学努力为师生营造实施创新教育的良好环境。有独立的图书馆，教学楼，有物理、化学、生物实验楼和多媒体教学专用课室、电视演播厅，以及运动场、体育馆、游泳池等。

■Guangzhou Zhixin High School

　　Guangzhou Zhixin High School was founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in the year 1921 to commemorate Mr. Zhu Zhixin, a renowned democratic revolutionist and close assistant of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. The school is located in downtown Guangzhou, occupying an area of some 70,000 square meters. The campus is dotted with all sorts of classic Chinese architectures featuring red walls, green tiles and colored glaze brims.

　　The school was a private one from 1921-1943, run by a board of directors made up of famous educationists, top government officials and social celebrities, and the first principal was Ms. Zeng Xing, a renowned returned scholar from France. The school became a public one in the year 1943, under the administration of the educational department of Guangdong Provincial Government and Guangzhou Municipal Government. It was a girls school from 1928-1968, and started to accept the boys thereafter. The Zhixin High School accepts only senior high school students right now. There are 48 classes, more than 2,400 students and 200 staff members.

　　Guangzhou Zhixin High School spares no effort in creating a sound environment for the faculty and students to be innovation-oriented in both teaching and learning. The school has an independent library building, several teaching buildings, buildings for physical, chemical and biological experiments, multi-media classrooms, audio and visual rooms, a playground, a gymnasium and a swimming pool.

　　The school pays great attention to spawn the innovative thinking of students, stimulate the interest of students to seek and explore new territories. The school holds an art festival, a science and technology festival, swimming competitions, and a sports meeting every year.
