广州市少年宫创建于1952年，是广州地区建宫时间最长、规模最大的校外教育培训中心和活动中心。近年来，多次被团中央和国家文化部评为全国先进青少年宫。

　　广州市少年宫分为一宫、二宫和青少年营地。一宫设有设备完善的6幢培训教学大楼，总建筑面积达4万多平方米，拥有课室、活动室130多间，还建有蓓蕾儿童剧院和少年文化广场；位于珠江新城的第二少年宫占地1.6万多平方米，建筑面积4.5万多平方米，拥有各类教室108间；在广州市从化流溪河畔的广州青少年营地占地1万多平方米，可容纳200多营员住宿活动。

　　目前，少年宫每年都接待近百万少年儿童前来参加各种活动。宫内常设有文艺、美术、合唱、科技、体育、文学、外语、书法等100多个专业共1000多个培训班，每年拥有学员8万多人。拥有艺术团、合唱团、民乐团、芭蕾舞团、电子琴乐团、美术学校、天文俱乐部、车模队、武术队、艺术体操队、英语俱乐部、采贝文学社等团队。

■Guangzhou Children's Palace

　　Founded in 1952, Guangzhou Children's Palace is the oldest and biggest extracurricular education, training and  activity center in Guangzhou. In recent years, Guangzhou Children's Palace has been named many times as the National  Advanced Children's Palace by China's Central committee of Communist Youth League and the Ministry of Culture.

　　Guangzhou Children's Place is subdivided into the No.1 Palace, the No.2 Palace and the Youth Camp. The No. 1 Palace  has 6 fully equipped training and teaching buildings; a total construction area of over 40,000 square meters and more than  130 classrooms and playrooms; plus Beilei Children's Theater and Children's Cultural Square; the No. 2 Palace, located at  the city's Zhujiang New Town, covers an area of 16,000 square meters with a floor space of 45,000 square meters and has 108  rooms for various functions; the Guangzhou Youth Camp, located at the bank of the Liuxi River of Conghua City, Guangzhou,  occupies an area of 10,000 square meters, and can accommodate more than 200 campers at one time. 

　　At present, Guangzhou Children's Palace accepts one million children every year for various activities. The palace  now offers more than 100 training programs including artistic performance, fine art, science and technology, sports,  literature, foreign languages, calligraphy, enrolling over 80,000 students in some 1,000 classes every year. The palace also  boasts various spare time interest groups including the Performance Troupe, the Chorus Team, the Folk Music Troupe, the  Corps de Ballet, the Electronic Organ Group, the Fine Art School, the Astronomy Club, the Car Model Assembling and Testing  Team, the Martial Art Team, the Eurhythmics Team, the English Club and the Caibei Literature Society.
